Another Plainly Unarmed Man Shot by Police in California

In the local news article here (and see photo below), note how the media takes sides, accepts the prosecution's version, and calls the shooting "accidental" in its headline. There's objectivity for you!

Speeding from the bar's parking lot late at night with headlights off and then crashing was a big sign of a DUI. Nothing from those facts should lead any
reasonable cop to believe the suspect had weapons or that apprehending him would require using deadly force--not at that point anyhow. It was premature to have a gun in his hand. Even if the suspect had tried to evade arrest after that crash, no facts in this case warranted getting ready for a deadly force confrontation.
